To Do Checklist
3 - 4 weeks before your shower
|
 |
- Get together with any other co-hosts and choose a theme for the shower

- Set a budget.
- Pick the shower date and time.
A couple months before the due date is considered good timing,
and baby showers are generally 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours long.
- Create the guest list. Will you be including couples or kids?
This can get complicated, so remember, you can always skip the surprise
shower and ask the parents-to-be whom they want to include.
- Chose a location for the shower.

2 - 3 weeks before your shower

- Choose games and activities from BabyShowerGamesAtoZ.com. Plan to do your
ice-breaking games early, mix up groups, and have fun. About 3 games for a 2 hour
shower is just right, but plan more games than you
expect to use in case you run out of activities.
- Shop for invitations and party supplies, decorations, party favors
and prizes for games. (Matching thank you notes are always a gift for
Mom-to-be)
- Encourage Mom and Dad to do a baby registry at their favorite store.
- Finalize the guest list and send invitations. Don’t forget to include
special instructions (if there are any) to bring items for special shower games.
- Plan your menu.

|
1 week before your shower
|
 |
- Shop for food and beverages and pick up anything that can be stored
ahead of time.
- Confirm orders and any reservations (if you have them).
- Write out a schedule of activities for the shower.
|
|
2 - 3 days before the shower
|
 |
- Get a final RSVP count. If
guests haven't responded to your RSVP request, go ahead and give
them a courtesy call.
- Buy any remaining food and last minute items like film.
- Arrange to have helium balloons filled for the day of the party.
- Designate a photographer (besides yourself)
to take a photo of each guest with the parents-to-be as they
leave the Shower.
- Designate a gift recorder to keep track of who brought
what gift - and print out a list of names and addresses
to make this easy for mom's thank you notes.
