Bridal Shower Checklist
Getting Started...
If you've been asked to host a Bridal Shower, or you're the Maid of Honor
fulfilling this fun duty, you might be wondering where to start and just
what to do! But don't fret, here's an easy guide to get you started...
Choose A Theme
Get together with any other co-hosts and choose a theme. A theme can serve as inspiration for
decorations and games, even the invitations, favors, and name tags. It makes planning and preparation
simpler and guests will enjoy the instant gift ideas that come with a theme.

Choose Date, Time and Location
One or two months before the wedding is considered good timing, and
bridal showers are generally 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours long. The time of
day to host the shower is personal preference, and can be used to
determine appropriate food and drink.
|
Make Guest List
Anyone on the wedding guest list can be included, but if you need to shorten the list,
invite close family and friends that are in town - or just the women.
|
Pick Games
Games should be the fun part of planning the shower, so don't wait until the
last minute to think about them! Better yet, find one of the guests who would like to
be the game coordinator and work with her to pick out some fun games that go along with
the shower theme.

Plan Your Menu
Finger foods set around the room work great and encourage guests to mingle.
If you don't want to prepare the food yourself, purchase pre-made
deli trays of vegetables, fruit, or meats and cheeses. And don't forget
the cake!

Send Invitations
Send the invitations 2-3 weeks in advance, allowing time for guests to clear their
schedules and find that 'perfect' gift. And don't forget to include special instructions
in the invitations if your games (or theme) require guests to bring items to the shower.
